On The Other Side

Jesus, I have promised, to serve you to the end;

Be thou ever near me, my master and my friend

I will not fear the battle, if you are by my

side, nor wander from the pathway, if you

will be my guide.

Let me feel your presence; the world is ever

near.  I see the sights that dazzle, temptation

sounds I hear, my foes are ever near me,

around and within, but you dear savior

draw near, and shield my soul from sin.

Jesus, you have promised to all who follow you,

That where you are in heaven there

Your servants can be too.

Dear Lord, I promise, to serve you to the end

so please give me the strength, and

grace that is needed, to be your kind of friend

and help to follow the example that you set,

while walking here on earth, and I’ll look

Forward to seeing you in the morning

on the other side.
